Wondering what would be the best way to remove the front doors from a ED? Do you have to take the door including the hinges off or is it as easy as removing those screws on the outside of the hinge near the pins then lifting the door off?
Cheers :)

Just undo the two 10mm? bolts on the hinge pin, unplug the wiring and lift it off.

Cheers

Cheers fella's....Nice and easy then.
Reason I asked is today some bloke in a Statesman ran into my front left door and totalled it. He was real apoligetic and it is only one door so he bought me another door in the exact same colour.
:)

It does if you undo the hinge plate, but there are two 'grub' screws you can undo and then lift the door off the hinge pin.

Much simpler, and the adjustment stays the same.

Well, that was nice of him.

Are the side trims the same? And if you still have a pinstripe, check it is the same too.

The side trim is the same. My ED is a Classic so it has the thin black pin strip just above the side trim where as the new door doesn't but I have the proper pin striping and can put it on myself so it's all good.

That is good then.

I asked as when I got a replacement door for my old Red EB, it was exactly the same, even the pinstripe design, but the pinstripe was about 10mm out LOL.

I ended up removing the Pinstripe from the whole car.

Cheers

Cheers for the help Benj. I'll change the door over tomorrow then she'll be good as gold again (Until the next person decides to play dodgem cars with me that is, lol).
