Where in Victoria S.E can I get a workshop to haul my EA CFI equipped engine out and replace it with a complete EL Engine? I'm getting the engine looms very soon. Also I already have the EL ECU as well. If i recall correctly I'll need better fuel pump from later model also? What else do I need? regards

Thermo fans and all EL accessories so as to run serpentine belt, and intake manifold.

Are you sure you want to do the conversion? - It can make a difference, but the Power Levels are actually reasonably similar with CFI and MPI - CFI is usually more economical, and very importantly, you wouldnt have to change any wiring. You can just plug the later model engine in.
Worth thinking about? Otherwise - hey go for it. It can be a lot of fun. Cheers |

and the first mpfi engines with the log manifolds were something like 139kw? I don't remember whether compression was also raised, heads changed etc so can't say how much of the gain was due to the change from cfi to mpfi though

I figure you really like the EA, and learning, to consider doing this?

Yes I love the EA!! It's just the the shape I love so much.. If possible I'd chuck the BF motors into her but $ is always the constraint. Unless you know someone that can do it for cheap!!
