what gauge wiring do you have? if your a noob at wiring amps better book in at audio shop, shouldnt cost more then $100, safer than tryin to do yourself...

Make sure you disconnect the battery before doing anything... simple but a lot of people don't do it. Bye bye amp.

EFNA wrote: what gauge wiring do you have? if your a noob at wiring amps better book in at audio shop, shouldnt cost more then $100, safer than tryin to do yourself... thats not the spirit!! only one way to learn. wiring amps is a piece of piss. blue trigger cable from the back of your head unit goes to the trigger input on your amp. Run red power cable from your positive battery terminal, through a fuse (which you want as close as you can to the battery, this minimises chances of a short happening before the fuse) to your +12v terminal on your amp Black ground cable goes from GND terminal on amp to any where on the body of the car. You can put it under an existing ground bolt (like near the tail lights in the boot for example), or drill a hole and put a bolt through it. what ever you do, make sure the area that you clamp the ground cable down onto is clean and paint-free (sand it back) Hook +ve output from amp up to red on sub. hook -ve from amp to black on sub. voila! now go and enoy your favourite music with added bass |

A couple of bits of advice for a novice, don't forget the fuse at the battery, disconnect the ground from the battery before you start, and the main thing before drilling and screwing into the car make sure you check behind what you are drilling or screwing, you don't want to drill into the fuel tank or a brake line etc.
As for the rest, take your time, make sure the cables don't pass through or over sharp metal edges and secure the cables so they can't flop around and rub on something.....
