Hi guys. I just received a Pioneer DEH P4850MP head unit and need a bit of help with the wiring colours. :(

Could someone check my list?

Yellow: power
Black: ground
Blue/white: electric aerial.
Red: 12V amp trigger?
Purple: right rear speaker.
Green: left rear speaker .
Grey: left front speaker.
White: right front speaker.

Does the deck have a dimmer function for headlights on? There isn't an orange/brown wire on the deck that I can see. Only one blue wire also, so does the deck share the same wire for remote turn on AND aerial?

There are four RCA jacks on the rear. For connection to my existing monoblock sub amp, do I use the red or white SW pre-out jack?

Thanks, Mike

Yellow - Constant power
Red - Accessory Power (Switched 12v from ignition)
Black - Ground
Blue/White - Remote wire/electric antenna wire

White - Front Left
Grey - Front Right
Green - Rear Left
Purple - Rear Right

No dimmer function.

Most amps (even mono amps) take both the left and right subwoofer output from the head unit. If your amp only have 1 RCA input, it doesn't matter if you use the left or right from the head unit.

[edit - that picture was not there when I replied]

Thanks Stone, I did edit the post pretty quickly!

Questions: the blue/white wire: do I split this to control both the aerial and the sub amp power-on?

Does the factory EF wiring match these colours (only worried about aerial, 12v constant and accessory)?

Thanks again, Mike

Yeah, you split the blue/white wire to whatever devices you want to turn on. You should limit to 3-4 devices though, so the antenna and a couple of amps is fine.

I can't help with the EF colour coding, sorry.

From your sig I'm guessing you've got a Fairmont Ghia - I dont know if its high or low series there but this has both

If you are turning too much stuff on with your remote on wire, install a relay and use that to turn everything on... I've blown remote out wires before from too much load.
