i dunno where it is on an AU but its easy to change.
de-pressureise the fuel system --> start the car, open the boot, remove the fuel pump cover, disconnect the power connector, and let the engine run out of fuel. replace the filter --> un-bolt the filter and unscrew the pipe thing, fit the new filter, tighten connections, re-connect the fuel pump connector, replace the cover, start the car and check for leaks. a new filter from the wreckers is cheap, less than $50 hope this helps a little ryan |

I should hope it's less than $50. I payed $11 for a Repco fuel filter for my EF.

sounds easy enough, but isnt running the engine dry a bad thing?
edit: thanks for the link!

No not at all bad. You need to depressurise the line so it doesnt squirt out at you and all over the place when you undo the fittings from the filter.
As soon as your done connect up the fuel pump electrically again and all will be well assuming it doesnt leak!!! Has to be 100% sealed, no drips at all otherwise it could all go up in flames literally. |

edit: thanks for the link! The engine "runs dry" every time you switch it off. As soon as the ignition's turned off, teh fuel is turned off. |
