i have change my lifters coz they were noisy on start up n tad noisy when warm,there is a lifter nois on the exhaust side of the head, i have changed lifter around n swop with anther set i had. even change rocker gear off a car that ran fine,the lifter noise is still there.at idle it will come n go. any ideas what the problem could be?? (its only one or two lifters the are still noisy)

hhmm ok, the noise is louder then what it was with the old lifters..i got them from auto barn, theres some on ebay, but they have a plastic type clip on top of the lifter.the ones that i got dont. could that be why?? jus dont get y only one... im goin to put my old ones in to see if the lifter noise is better.. if so i will purchase the set on ebay.. unless anyone has ideas

check the valve stems had a similar problem and one of the valve stems was lower than the others ,must have moved or something but it fixed mine.

ive had a couple of noisy lifters on an ed and found the shims were fitted upside down, not allowing enough oil to get to the lifter. changed them to the right way up and no more noise.

there up the right way double cheached all that kinda stuff when i done them...

I've seen the head gasket fail internally and bleed oil from the font galley into the area behind the timing cover. It starves the rocker gear for oil and makes them hell noisy.

its not noisy as but you can hear it when ur in the car, but like i said it wasnt all that bad before i replaced them...
