I have obtained off E-bay a BF GTP Overhead clock complete with wiring loom ( fits on windscreen above rear vision mirror ) but do not know where it connects to the cars wiring. The loom is about 2 meters long with a piggy-backed 4 prong male and female plug as well as an additional blue wire with a female push on conector as well as a joining male female socket connector.
I wish to install this on to my BA XR6 with low series single cd colour screen. Any help greatly appreciated. Darryl. |

The FPV doco doesn't cover the location of the loom, but AFAIK it runs down the drivers side A pillar, and plugs into the mobile phone connector (provides power and ground).
The wires do... Y - Ignition power B - Ground B/Y - Accessories power G - Mute (unused by the clock) L - Illumination (undimmed, sourced from the tail light relay) You can find this on the steering column connector, from the light socket for the ignition key, the light socket for the cig lighter. light circuit for the fog light switch. Note the rest of the car uses a Blue with White trace wire. Y = Yellow B = Black B/Y = Black with Yellow trace G = Green L = Blue
