There might be a short circuit somewhere perhaps. Recheck the wiring. Too much current might be passing through the motor and killing it. Maybe blend door is jammed or doesn't have too much free play causing the motor to work harder and thus heating and killing the motor faster.

That's all I can think of besides putting the motor in wrong some how...

I'd pull the module apart and clean the entire thing with isopropyl alcohol (medi-swabs)

I believe someone else had a simular issue and it was the rear plug on the cc module itself.

is it hard to pull the module appart and re-assemble it? i was thinking about doing that as one of the buttons get stuck but i didnt want to risk stuffing it up
actually on secont thought the button that stuffs up is one of the temp buttons, could that be it?

More than likely.

just remove the head unit, undo the 3 globes, and gently and evenly open the casing.(use a small screwdriver).

Now if you look carefully, where the screen board plugs into the base there are soldered pin headers that foul on the casing.
It is best to re-solder all of these (takes 2 minutes) and this will give you good contact.

The when you've done that undo the 6 small Philips head screws and lift out the lcd screen facing down so you don't mix the buttons up, otherwise yank it apart and clean them all and put it back together.

Use the swabs to clean the food grim sweat and stench off the button contacts and dont forget to clean the carbon on the back of each button.

I'm sure this will work for your problems.
