Hi all
I’ve got an BF XR8 and I’m looking at lowering it to give it a better look & performance. I’m on a tight budget so I can only do it in stages like springs and a camber kit first up and then a set of shockeys later on. So what id like is some feed back on what brad of springs your running on and how you find them on the road , like the handling and ride comfit in the city and country roads. So there are 3 brands I’m looking at. First up is the pedders sports Rider set of lowered springs http://www.pedders.com.au/ Second I’m looking at Lovells lowered springs http://www.lovells.com.au/ And lastly a set of King springs http://www.kingsprings.com/ So lets us now on your pros and cons on your springs Thanks. |

Just chucked king springs and Monroe GT shocks in my BA last night...
Ride is not all that rough (on 19's too) and am pretty happy with it thus far. Will know more in a week or so. |

Pedders touring springs are the way to go, I've had them in 2 cars now (eb and au) and won't even look at anything else. I put sports riders in an el and found them to be a bit harsh for my likeing but not as harsh as kings. Lovells are a good unit but have been told the sag over time.

Out of curiousity did you think the sports riders handled better? (comfort quality aside). I'm after springs for my au too.

Seriously do people google "f**k up modifications for Fords owned by Jews" and get linked straight to this site nowadays? AU,factory fitted tickford kit/IRS, t5,Sports ryder/KYB: gone. |

Not really that I noticed, the sports riders are supposed to be 15% stiffer and a little bit shorter as well. If I can find some pics I'll post them up.
