Hi all,
Emergency question..... (asked this in another post but this might be faster in it's own) I tried googling fordmods and it's own search engine and can't find any hits for pressing bearing cups/outers/rings into the roter.... so please bear with me as I'm trying to get this done before dark and it's stressing me out. I'm trying to put my new rotors on right now, it had new cups in them but I figured the same brand would be a better idea so I knocked them out... now I can't get them back in again.... (turns out they are the same brand and model (repco).... so how do I get the bearing cups pressed back into the rotor without damaging them???? I tried a rubber mallet and a wooden block but these things are tight.... suggestions please good folks? rgds Frank |

please disregard this...
benj came to the rescue and said to use the old bearing cup and belt it in side by side with a hammer till it goes all the way in and the sound changes.. worked a treat... leaving this here in case it helps a later searcher... thanks mr benj.. |
