Hi all,
Just picked up my 96 EF XR6 out of the garage for a rear main seal replacement, and they told me they noticed my clutch was pretty worn and should be replaced. I thought they might just be trying to squeeze some more cash out of me but I am noticing a rattling and shuddering noise and feeling when I take off at low speeds (heavy traffic/parking etc...) apart from that it feels fine. I can't really justify paying 500+ to get it changed, and now I'm moving from an apartment into a house with a garage, I figured I might give it a crack myself. Does anyone have any step by step guides saved on their pc's or can recommend any good parts suppliers? Cheers! |

they should have called you about changing changing the clutch before the put it back together. as the clutch, flywheel ect needed to come out to change the rear seal..
so it probably would have only been $200 or so extra... |

yeah they called me when they saw it and said I've already paid for the labour, so would only be paying for the parts, which they quoted about $480. I reckon with a bit of shopping around I'll be able to find one cheaper. If I find the part number I reckon I'd be able to find one cheap on ebay
