hey guy

just starting to built up a 4.0 just trying to decide what internals to use eg ACL race

building for a turbo app bore hone 40 thu over will the std crank hold up
will have the head done bottom end balanced bigger cam bottom up build

just trying figure out a rough power figure weather i could get a safe 250 rwkw

and if any one else has used the ACL REBUILT kit and there thoughts about other rebuild kits around

i know some of you will say why bother

because i love the E series falcon and i bought the car as a one owner with 120000km with log books and history for $2000 all the suspension has been done wheels prestige paint is beautiful

and i have had a lot of e series and this is the best by far i had EB XR6 manual Ea brock xr8 sprint EL and the EL fairmont the fairmont is the perfect car for this project in my mind

If all you want is 250rwkw then just rebuild it to stock spec with some 40thou EA 3.9 ACL race pistons.
You wont need anything special at all.

thanks for your info

250rwkw as a starting figure i want to build the motor internaly so later on it can handle bigger upgrades if you know what i mean

what are your thoughts and AUTO OR MANUAL

if your planning on more then 250rwkw then C4 is the go...

you wont need a c4 unless you are chasing 10's if you go auto just modify the valve bodies and give it a rebuild. but if you are going for a manual then you could go t5z, t56 or tko and they will be strong enough.

taxi 5L thanks for the offer mate but i would like to build some thing for my self p.s
what do you want for it

manual or auto i thinking manual because iam not going to use it for drag maybe once to see what it can do but its going just to be more of a crusing car i also love manual falcons

i know the t5 is a std 5 speed but what is a t5z are they the new 5 speeds hydrolic or cable

Thank you for great info i keep you guys posted when i get thing of the way

t5z are an upgraded version of a t5.

there are guys running over 300rwkw on the 3.9 acl pistons. the EF/EL factory forged rods are plenty strong enough for 300rwkw. just keep the revs under 6000rpm, these engines don't need revs to make power.
