hi, to tighten the power steering racks a bit is there a nut on the top and bottom of the rack that have to have spanners on them or is there just a bolt head looking at the bonnet that goes into a thread on the bottom of the rack
can yous give more information on how to tighten the racks and what spanners go on which nuts and which way each spanner has to go to tighten them up a bit |

On my EL rack there are exactly two 14mm bolts holding it in. The thread is in the K frame. To remove it, undo the two 14mm bolts, pop off the tie rods and disconnect the lines. The rack will slide backwards from between two tabs on the K frame. Reverse procedure to refit rack...
Cheers RD

They are normal bolts. If you do not know which way normal bolts go I would suggest you do not touch a spanner.....

Seriously, if you have to ask such basic questions, you shouldn't be working on cars. I for one am not going to tell you - nasty? Maybe but I don't care. It would take all of 2 seconds to figure it out by trial and error instead of expecting handholding for tightening a damn bolt!!!!!!!!!~
