I should have said public perception of the manufacturer, not of those who buy and drive the things. Vic would be the only one in this thread who would remember the "Horsepower Scare" of the 70's that killed off these types of cars. |

[quote="ashcook"]One of my mates had his VE GTS in for a tune today after a new exhaust and CAI was fitted. I think he said it cost him a bit over 4 grand all up including the tune. But he has gone from this:
Extractors, twin 3 inch exhaust and tune 303kw atw quote] does anyone know what this would run down a quarter? my father in law has a 6L VZ HSV with same mods, he wont come clean on how much power he has though... i keep telling him my XR6T will mash him and he gets the s**t, but he wont race me down the quarter due to me having all the bragging rights if he lost, haha

should piss in a low 12, i'm not 100% on what VEs are running though.
I think the VZ 6Ls are doing about 270-280 with the same mods? mid to high 12 maybe?

Yep, f**k journo's ruined the Phase IV and the GT line. {USERNAME} wrote: vic would remember the horsepower scare from when they first got more then one horse to tow a carriage. With some expensive surgery, people might think you actually look old enough to drive a car...
