I've done the broadband conversion and have been driving the ute for a bit now using the original ECU so obviously the broadband is not working. The problems I have encountered is rough idling or holding higher revs at idle. It also misses down low.
Now to the reason I didn't change it over: It doesn't fit!. The bloody plug is different. Now I have access to the complete wiring loom from the EF and am wondering if, using an old EEC4 ECU I can make an adaptor plug up from the end of the EF loom. The reason I want to do an adaptor up is I'm not keen on butchering my original loom. I really need to know if this is that simple and if it's not, I need pinouts etc so I can get this right first time. I have searched this forum inside and out and can't find the pinouts anywhere as all the tacho docs seem to have dissappeared since I was last here.

Cheers in advance for any help
Dog

yep...
you just need to add 1 wire + pin 15 to the ecu plug for the green wire on bbm solinoid. add 12v to the red wire on the bbm solinoid, add the vac hoses from the manifold to bbm solinoid and to the diaphram on front of manifold plug in the el ecu and thats it....

Same as EL XR6 ECU ---> then you'll need a hybrid EL XR6 cam to match the tune (bit pricey new though)

Be a good idea to see if can find a second hand EL hybrid cam to suit the BBM/ECU tune since they can't be bought new, otherwise go for a hybrid equivalent of the wade 1636 or similar perhaps, if you need to buy new.

Thanks guys.
I've had all the vac lines hooked up etc, only one had me confused and thats the one from the solenoid that goes back into the cab. All I was going to do to work out where this one goes was pull the dash out of the EF wreck I've got.
I don't have to worry about the cam setup as the motor was originally broadband anyway. Thanks for the link Snap. I searched the hell out of it but nothing I did worked....

That's okay dude.
You've got the rest covered ?? Rocker cover, throttle cable, etc.
You'll find an XH XR6 or EF/EL accelerator pedal better suited - the std XH one sits at a weird height.

Yeah, I used a pedal from an EF. When I compared them though, the only difference I could see was that the broadband accelerator cable didn't fit in the square cut out on the XH pedal. Everything else has been pretty cool.
