Hi guys need some ECU assistance,for most recent purchase,EL sedan whith manual conversion,what I know is I need a manual ECU & box to eng/ bay loom but I didnt find an ECU for 5spd EL in catch codes,would an EF manual one do the job.Hope someone has done one before,thanks heaps for any info at all,oh yeah the local Ford dealer reckons both man/& auto ECUs are the same part no, cheers Col.

i dont think ef fits plus ef runs coil packs...you could always get a j3 chip

EF and EL ECU have different pin outs so they aren't a straight swap.
best bet would be an EL auto ECU and do the resistor trick, prob the cheapest and easiest way around it.
