I was hoping someone here could give me some help in identifying what this is. I found it tucked away in the passenger side front quarter panel. They look like vacuum lines with something that has wires coming out of it... perhaps a solenoid? The end of the lines go into a black plug that looks like it's missing something or should be plugged into something (which it isn't) Thank you for your help.

Does this mean I am missing a carbon canister? How big is it?

Its a box shape, black in colour, about 60mm thick, about 110mm long, about 130mm high.

Well that's annoying. I guess it's lived without it this long, it'll have to go without a little longer until I get a replacement and can be bothered taking the front bar off again.
On another topic, probably should start another thread but has anyone got a picture of the one way vacuum valve as I'm starting to get the problem of the A/C being directed to the window under hard acceleration which from what I have read in on the forum it could be this valve but I wouldn't know where to find it or what it looks like. cheers

Usually you don't have to take the front bar off to get at it, just the plastic inner guard at the front.
