yeah so guys, im after some aftermarket taillights. initially I wanted the altezza all clear tail lights, but after finding out they were not ADR Approved, I backed off the idea. Any other Legal taillights out there to personalize my car?

you could fit EF tail lights to your EL - only diff is orange lense on EF and clear'sh on EF
only aftermarket lights are those "clear" lights you said .

Or you can the option i did if your pretty handy with ya hands and are somewhat 'crafty' -
this is what i did about 4-5 years ago

I think its just ignorance for the most part though. I want my car to be 100% Legal so Im not going to get them. |

I don't think it's ADR required to have red tail lights anymore... as long as you have ADR approved reflectors on the back somewhere.. (otherwise last years Mazda 3 and 6 are illegal from factory as are several other cars including at least one VE commodore variant.)
This is mine for now...  At the moment, the reflectors are ADR approved jobs from a trailer... I keep the packet in the glovebox as it details the ADR approval.. Later on, I'm doing a BA XR low lip on the EL bar, and when I do that, I'll be embedding some Mazda 6 rear reflectors (which must be ADR approved) into my EL bumper made to look as factory as I can get it... Anyway, I've had lots of cops see it like this and none have said anything. rgds Frank |

hmmm now thats an idea that hasnt been thought of much..... installing reflectors into the bar to avoid trouble from aftermarket lights!
make sure you make a thread about the build of that bar! lol
