My old man broke my bonnet release on my BA V8 mont . I brought a new one and was wondering is there a trick to putting it in? Or can someone give me a step by step guide. Would be great help. Doesn't look like a simple swap of the handle whole thing needs to be replaced. Brought the newer cable with stronger handle.

hey yeh ive replaced afew of these. the quickest easyest way iv found is to break the old handle completely off the cable and wire that end to the ball on the new cable (the part that conects to the bonnet latch). it might help to put sum electrical tape around there so it doesnt catch on anything.

pull the old cable thru from the front gently with the help of someone pushing the new 1 thru from the inside. if it catches on something dont force it, push it back thru alittle and pull it again.

the other way is to take the gaurd liner out from inside the front right gaurd wich is about 10 pushin clips, ull be able to see the cable nxt to the wireing, disconnect it from the bonner catch and pull it thru the inside, then put the new 1 thru the same hole u took the old 1 out and run it the same way u took the old 1 out, hook it up and put the gaurd linner back in and ur laughin
