Afternoon,

My drivers side front door was ripped off by a semi a couple weeks back. Bought a new door with brackets (as the old ones were bent). I have put the new door on but I think that the pillar the brackets attach too has been pulled out by the force of the door being ripped back. What is the best way to go about fixing this? I have taken off the front fender and have better access to the door now but am not sure as to whether I should just flog it back in with a sledge hammer? If anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

normally when a Piller has been broken/bent etc its classified as a write off.. as its one of the main structures on a vehicle.... Umm not sure what to do but sounds like the metal will be pretty fragile and if in another accident (touch wood) it wont be able to hold up

if the steel isnt split see a panel shop see if they can use a z rack or robot to pull the pillar around to straighten and or replace by undrilling that pillar and replacing with a sh one seen it done nothing dodgy providing they do a good job! basicly pull it then undrill the spots replace!
