Hey all a mate of mine has a series 1 car with a series 2 xt ute tranny sequential shift 4 speed auto and is planning on doing some work on his motor.
He is planning on getting between 200 - 220kw's atw will the gearbox handle the power or what would he need to do on the tranny cause he is curently got 165rwk's and he blew the series 1 tranny's oil pump.

any ideas would be great would it be cheaper to build a tougher tranny or will it hold

cheers in advance

Depends how he drives it/what he intends to use it for. If it is N/A it will already stand a better chance of lasting then behind a turbo (due to sudden torque increase of a turbo). I would assume he already has the biggest tranny cooler he could find fitted?

Get the 4 speed from a XR6T or XR8 (or FPV), they're build stronger (from factory) than the other ones.
