Hi i have an late model EB series 2 sedan and the central locking has an issue...when i opened the passenger door or the drivers door the door locks kept cycling...only when the passenger door was closed did it stop...it has only done this on 4 occasions ...i also have trouble manually opening the passengers door with the key ....it seems to open ok with the central locking....any suggestions would be appreciated ...many thanks phil

probly just replace the central locking in the drivers door, i had the same problem on my eb front passenger door. replaced it. and all better now
|

You either have a lock motor on it's way out or one of the sniper buttons is jamming on the way down. The sniper button bit was one of the problems with the locks in my wifes car....

Take door trims off and spray every moving part and window guides with sillicone spray.
Give this a try before spending any money on any part. This has worked on my EF and EL. It also worked on a friends ED.

thanks for the tips...i have an ED and an EL i am wrecking so i might scab the bits off of them..see how i go...

Hi fixed one problem ...pulled off pass side trim...and found plastic guide for door nib broken away and had jammed the plastic rod ...removed it and now i can lock the car from passenger side only...when i try and lock car from drivers side then the central locking still cycles ...going to check drivers door out next...
