I am currently doing a diff swap in an EB and the brake line flare nuts just do not want to budge, i have bought two 10 ml flare nut spanners but both slip causing the nut to round.

Is there a trick to loosen the nut? or a specific brand spanner that doesnt slip?

Glenn.

If they have rounded already its time for the vice grips. Dodgy but gets the job done.
Dont attempt to turn the spanner in one motion , a series a short , sharp cracks with your hand will have a better effect at undoing a tight night without rounding it.

don't remove the brake lines off the calipers. when i did a diff swap i undid the mounting bolts for the calipers, removed the brake lines from the diff and lifted out of the way, no need to bleed the brakes then, and no rounded flare nuts

Good old multi grips did the job, made a bit of a mess of the nut though.
