i recently bought a fair mont and wondered how hard would it be to put its climate control into my ef gli? the fair mont is an el to

also is there any differnces in the whole dash? size? and bolt locations?


my head lights after about 2 mins of being on high beam begin to flash on and off?
i have replaced the high beam relay?
but hasnt fixed the problem? ive also notcied the low beams flash aswell when the car is sitting?
any ideas?

If you have the donor car, then it should only take you 4-5 hours.
yes, EVERYTHING lines up.
If your GLi has ABS brakes, then all you need to replace is the Dash loom (including its BEM and headlight switch etc etc.

If NO ABS, then you'll need to run a few wires in the engine bay for ambient sensor.

Otherwise its a straight swap.

You DO NOT need to replace the heaterbox OR discharge the Gas in the AC.
you can add the blend door motor to the GLi heaterbox with a little ingenuity,

and YES, its much easier to change the dash wiring, rather than add 50 wires.

Hey mate i had the same problem it urns out they have a circuit breaker under the overflow tank that can fail. replaced it problem solved.

haha yeah it was causing me trouble for a good 6 months -year maybe, only affected my high beams though, so just left it in the to hard basket to be bothered with. haha

honestly couldn't guess I nicked the one out of my old car before it went for it's last trip.
