Hey guys i bought a EF 96 futura falcon about a month ago for 2500 rego paid and all that needed to be fixed on the roadworthy was the wiperblades and some globes here and thier... well recently it has decided on the left window to not go up or down using the automatic button... it won't even go down when i pull on it... i rang ford to suss out getting it fixed and they reckon bout 200 bucks... 100 for the part and 100 for the labour.... yes no???? the other thing is the bcm module is playing up and occasionally it wont start or even kick over it just seems dead... i hit the part to the left of the steering axel and it starts up... ford also quoted bout 350 for that... is that good or not... should i go for a second hand part and install it myself is it easy to install or get it fitted new and properly...

i think if is the same as an eb ed when you hit the dash by the steering wheel is the smartlock modual you can try a second hand one form the wreckers but some can be fixed when mine went it was only 2 to 3 dry solder joints .

is it expensive really to fix and is it easy to do myself or should i get it done by someone who knows what theyt are doing.....???????? where to i get the solder joints from???

you can pick one up from a wrecker for around $50 and fit it your self, the solder joints can be done by a auto sparky
