hi i own a 06 bf xr6 turbo ute with 320rwkws, but now i have a grinding/ crunching noise from the front of the engine, have removed the belt but noise is still there but only between 2700rpm and 3500rpm, have removed rocker cover but everything looks ok, i think it is the timing chain but it looks fine and not loose.
has anyone had the same problem.. regards swinnyforlife |

Yes! I have had the same problem, except the noise is more evident at idle and low RPM's. It does sound like a raspy drive belt, or more like a metallic rattle, either way it's there. If you find out what it is, let us know

chain tensioner... has the head been off recently. this happened to my car forgot to take out the tensioner bolt on the right and snapped it

na the head hasnt come of at all but its been around a week and started it up yesturday
and the dam noise has gone so that has me confussed the timing chain is all good |
