Location: newham
VIC, Australia

Hi all, I'm chasing a wiring diagram for an Impco gas system that has been fitted to my 93 EA Fairmont wagon. It won't start on petrol or gas, :x I have changed everything and have come to the conclusion that it's electrical and connected to the gas system :?: , any help, diagrams etc would be greatly appreciated. :D

Thanks
Steve

That won't help him much as the doco is for EF/EL factory tickford LPG.

What mixer and convertor is on your car?

I had to rewire my Impco LPG setup on my EB wagon when I got it.

First step is get it running on Petrol only first. I found it easier to remove all the LPG related wiring, and make sure the factory wiring was still intact. Then troubleshoot the Petrol side first.

Check the fuel pump operation and fuel deliver, then look at the spark side of it.

Once it is running as it should on Petrol, then you can assess how the LPG components are hooked up from an electrical standpoint. I found it easier to install all new relays for fuel pump, fuel guage, injector cuts etc and go from there.

This link is to my build thread which shows some of this.

I have an IMPCO diagram I made to help with my new LPG wiring I can send to you. PM me for my MSN or send me an external email address.

Cheers
BenJ
