I've got a NA Fairlane I'm wrecking and the power antennae worked fine and I want to install it into my EA. I haven't removed it yet so I'm unsure how it works.

How exactly does the wiring work? I noticed there's a button on the dash that I want to use as well and it sets the antennae at half mast, but it's only a switch.

I'm about to unravel the wiring to retape and make up a custom harness. Is there a module I should be looking for or what actually controls the antennae to go up and down?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The antenna only has positive and ground, the actual height control is managed by the BEM computer.

Depending what model vehicle you're installing it into you may be able to use the BEM from the Fairlane.
I'm not too sure if lower models, e.g. GLI, can be controlled by a high-end BEM without some issues.
The BEM might need input from other gear only found in the high-end models.

Someone may be able to give you a more definitive answer than I can, I haven't owned an E-series for a bit now..
