Yeah to much fuel I think. Doesn't sound any different but.

any power gain difference between when the cat was new and when it was gutted?????????

After some heavy driving my 2.5in magnaflow 200cpi cat, makes a ticking sound for a few minutes after the car is turned off. Probably the outer heat shield casing expanding???

how is the thread mining goin for ya?

in response to your question, the only difference I noticed was a slightly tinnier exhaust note. Still havent put a new cat in.

But you'll happily pay to use twice as much fuel?

Be thankful you don't have a car that needs to meet Euro3 emissions, cats for mine are $500 each, and I need two.

if it was a new high flow cat, wouldnt it be a metal cat? im pretty sure metal cats dont do the whole meltdown thing like standard ceramic monoliths do?
