Hi, the plastic clip on the barrel was broken trying to put the rod through it, i cant see how it all comes apart to fit the overhaul kit. has anyone dismantled a barrel before?

my mates just bought a full aftermarket ignition door lock set for his EL for $114 off ebay. we're just changing everything

I ended up taking the barrel and service kit to a lock smith who quoted me $30. The locksmith actually broke a piece off the bit from the service kit, the lock is now fitted with the service kit works fine and wasnt charged for the job.
