My EL Ghia has developed a shocking brake shudder above 90kph. I fitted kings lows, munroe gt shocks and whiteline 30mm swaybar 3 months ago. The discs were machined 6 months ago (DBA Slotted, new bendix pads, ceramic stripe, fitted).
Is it the bushes? If so do i need to replace all of them? I've been told that the lower trailing arm bushes are the most likely culprit. Opinions....

Your problem IS the pad and rotor Combo.
Bendix CT's are NOT compatible with Slotted Rotors. You Require Bendix Heavy Duty's OR Ultimate's. You can use ANY brand pad, but stay away from the budget end. Contact Hightek Brakes in Melbourne 03 9553 1160 (site sponsor 'well they were until i just looked.') and tell them your vibration issue before asking if its the pads. I guarantee they'll tell you the same thing if your using CT's. g'luck.

I am a big fan of on car disc machining.
it is by far the most accurate way to do them. I have a mobile guy come to my house.

If the wheel nuts have been over tensioned, it can cause the disc to be warped, but not at the friction surface.
Also check the condition of the upper wish-bone bushes, and others ( strut bar, lower inners ).

I had ultimates on there but my mechanic said the 'hardness' of the pad was causing warping, apparently CT's are 'softer'. I'm pretty certain it is suspension that is causing the dramas. I'll check on the wheel nut tension too, cheers.
