I Have a eb 5 litre diff spare which as i kno wont fit as different mount to go in my el, i have had a play puttin 411 in my el can do it but blew the centre to pieces, is it possible to put eb gearing in this el diff casing.

You CAN put an EB diff into an EL, but you need to weld on the handbrake brackets, swap over the brakes, and use the EB/EF upper control arms.

As to swapping centres, without the correct tools and specialist knowledge it is not recommended for the backyard mechanic. Very few DIY jobs that I have heard of have lasted any length of time.
