Hey guys. Bought an ea 5spd spac for 350 bucks and runs with near nothing wrong with the gearbox. I'm planning to Convert my ef sedan into a manual next week... My question is, what do I need to know about the tailshafts?? My main concern is about the difference with the yokes and whether they are a different spline where they go into the gearbox.

Do I need to change the yoke over to the EF auto tailshaft?

If I can get some help as soon as I will appreciate it.

Cheers guys... Sam.

Hi Sam, Yoke will fit. The auto's are the same except that have 2cm at the tip of the yoke where there is no grooves for the mainshaft splines. This shouldn't be a problem as it goes in a fair way.

You can change the T5 yoke over, but you may find you will get some vibrations without the auto yokes harmonic balancer on it.
