dude, do you have any clue? No, so don't answer. That isn't how to retrain the car.

To the OP, leave the car in the ACC position for 1/2 an hr to an hr, leave a window down, as the locks will cycle, possibly locking your keys in the car.

1) Turn off all acessories, ie Radio etc

2) wind down drivers window and close the door so interior light is out

3) turn ignition to reds, do not start car, and leave on reds. Smartlock light will start to flash.

4) wait approx 30 - 40 mins

5) after 30 - 40 mins door locks will cycle twice

6) DO NOT TOUCH IGNITION OR CAR DURING THIS PROCESS.

7) Smartlock light should be on solid red.

8) Turn off ignition and then start car, car should go through smartlock etc normaly.

9) You do not need to reprogram your remote.

if you lost you keys or something you could have done what me and my brother did when we couldnt find the keys to our old ed wagon with smart lock. we started it by pulling appart the original barrel and leave the smartlock part plugged in and turned to on. then got another ignition barrel and plugged the other wires into the new barrel(non smartlock) that we had the key for and it started straight away. then we threw the old smartlock part under the dash and put the new ignition barrel in the original spot and it started straight away and it never screwed up

it wasnt the barrel that was screwed. it was the big silver chamber thing it goes into that attaches to the column..

the door locks just cycled y we were outside but smart lock is still flashing. will wait 10 mins and see

What happened was James pulled the centre out and it wouldnt go in, so fidled around with it and pulled the top lil button in and a few turns and it clicked in, then connected it up and then waited the hour as you said, started first go :D
