Hey guys new to the forums i have a friend that surfs this site faily often. My question is i recently got the H/balancer done because i kept throwing power steering belts ( b.t.w its a EBXR6 II) now they have not tightin my belt up enough it squeels hard on start up.. Is it the pully near the aircon pump im faily sure that i have to tighten and is there a sertain Tension? if some one could help us out that would be good!

mine used to do the same before i got my balancer replaced i also got new pulley and now works like a dream no more belts coming of . the belt that used to come of on mine was the power steering pump and that was cuz of the balancer, they should be tight enough that if u push down on them with ur thumb they only depress slighty anymore and u need to tighten them (or so i think)

You should be allowing 2-4mm of flex in the belts as a general rule of thumb.

i know this is very late reply just serfing and saw this.
i foud that if i used a genuine ford belt it stopped the noise. but now i have a AU 3motor so no more belts just the serpentine set up of the belt.
