Hey guys,

I'm about to take delivery of a DA LTD in the next week or so, and I know it needs either new heater/aircon fan bearings or just a new unit swapped from another car (makes a really bad noise when turned on)

Can someone please post up some info/pics on how to remove and how hard it would be?

I have access to an EB Fairmont as a donor car if it's the same unit. I think it would be as all the dash is the same in the DA LTD, and I'd prefer to just swap the unit all together, rather than just the bearings.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Hey there Spudley, you will need to remove your dash to get the heater box out and it will also entail disconnecting your Air Con. If I were you, a Ellery's workshop manual (or Genuine Ford one) would be my first purchase as it will give you detailed instructions on the removal.

It's a s**t of a job and requires patience and time. If you need anymore info on this, try the workshop threads and mainly ones like Ben J's thread.
