Hi guys, have come across a chrome shaft that I'm looking at buying. Its the complete shifter lever thing.
Has anyone done a swap, or can they tell me what is involved in doing a swap so i can have the complete chrome in my shifter assembly. Cheers.

OK unscrew the shift knob and retaining bolt. popout the shifter surround with a flat head or whatever.
To do this put the shifter in park pop the back u then slide it back to 1st to get the front out. 4 tex screws hold it into the trans tunnel, undo those then get under the car, they're will be a bolt holding it to the adjustment lever on the gearbox, undo that and then back into the interior pull the old one out bolt the new one, when you refit the adjustment lever be sure to bolt it ack where it was lined up before.

Or, just replace the chrome shaft itself.
After lifting out the surround, and the foam piece, you will see the shaft terminates on a big bolt. Undo the 17mm nut, wiggle the shaft off, put new one on, do it up and TADA! You are done. BenJ

Just make sure your handbrake is on nicely as you will need to move the gearshift around for the best position.
