Yes, you will need an EF/EL A/C pump, and an EF/EL harmonic balancer.

What inlet manifold are you going to use, as this will dictate what sort of tensioner and belt you need.

Cheers

well im running VCT off an au also i have the VCT belt

i think the only parts i need are the P/S pump, A/C compressor, tensioner, harmonic balancer and i have the alternator on its way

any one have an A/C compressor in good nick as mine is perfect and just been regassed :( so im up for a regas, a harmonic balancer, tensioner and P/S pump? cheap ? what sort of money am i looking at to convert? or is it better to get a new compressor?

dont forget the ef/el water pump..
also if your going serpentine set up?
the powersteering pump bracket for vct is different to the others,
as it has the extra idler pulley mounted to the front of it so the belt clears the vct unit.....

so far i have the AU VCT belt the AU VCT P/S bracket, the alternator, the water pump and the thermo fans

is it really worth the hassel? seems like a lt to do just to convert to a single belt?
is there any gains out of it ?
any better?

overall i think its worth it.
you get a much better alternator set up, 110 amp, the engine will rev a little easier(less drag on the engine than with 3 belts)..

i was reading some where in (after hours of using the search function) that either the ef or it was the el was the better harmonic balancer?

also isn't the water pipe that goes around the back of the head a different diameter from the ea eb ed to the el ef? can anyone confirm?

Gotto ask for the hassell of doing this conversion and i did one years ago, but now as i have had a later model car thus a better motor in my opinion wouldnt it be better just to upgrade that motor as well, I would not waste my time if i had to do it again i would go straight to either a EF motor or the AU motor as i have done now in my EF and it would probably be faster to do it as well.

dont quote me but i think it the same diameter. You only change that pipe if you changing inlet mainifold,as location is different on inlet manifold.

Seems like a lot of time and expense for maybe a couple of KW. I would throw in a newer motor and be done with it if you really want it. Motors can be had quite cheap these days. I recently replaced my harmonic balancer and idler tensioner and that was enough of a pain in the a** on its own. If you have spare time and $$ and really want to do it go for it!

Oh, and you also need an EF/EL radiator as the lower outlet is smaller to match the EF/EL water pump.
