Hi there fellow forder’s :D
Just a quick one I’ve just done a oil change using Penrite HPR 5 , http://www.autobarn.com.au/products/10/68/2438908/ on my BF XR8 and was looking at replacing the sump plug ( bolt ) to a Fumoto valve unit http://www.fumoto.com.au/
The valve I was going to use was the F101N , it’s the valve with a nipple on it to make an oil change a little easier by putting a peice of hose on the end of the valve and drain it straight into a container when the oil changes come around.

But when I rung Ford they told me that the sump plug “bolt” for my BF XR8 BOSS 260 was a ½” or 12.5mm UNF which was the F101N not the Ford 5.4L engines 14mm-1.5 F-106N which I was going to use.

So I’m just going to send back the F101N unit and there going to send me back the F106N unit and on my next oil change I’ll let you guys know how it goes.

So if your looking at making an oil change on your Ford a littel easier go check out the Fumoto Valves

Matey, I think that is bloody marvelous and I think it might be just the key for simplified oil change, one would just hope that road humps and parking station humps don't get too close. :)
Not bad for $41.00. :)

I was thinking the same thing. If by chance you go over something unpleasant you could eventually knock the top part of and only leave the bit on the thread left and would cost you more to fix that :(
But it is a good idea.

I can see the advantage, but I can also see 5.5l of oil on the road behind me cause Sydney roads are so crap.Parking stations and shopping centres will knock this off in no time. maybe if your car had a sump bash plate there would be a gain. Goods idea for a circuit car though.

i think they might be ok on au or ba as the sump plug on au/ba comes out on the side rather than a 45 deg angle..

Yeah it would be ideal on these cars.
