With cross over in the middle. Literally done 200kms to date. I was stupid for getting it done before the engine. out of interest who did it? im thinking of taking mine to TME in the next few months to get mine done. haha, baxter didi it at TME when he owned it. Now its owned by the original owner, Jody. Highly recommended exhaust place! yeah i heard the original guy owned it again. thats 2 people that have highly recommended him now!

And the bonus of this is...?? I have always wondered what the point of putting an X pipe in is, whats the diff between those Mustang Off road H pipes and the normal X pipes? |

Well it assists with scavenging of the exhaust gases and to some degree, this also benefits torque and even reduces the noise of the exhaust within the cabin.

It helps fight sound resonance / cancellation. I recall something from Yr 12 physics about nodal and anti-nodal waveforms and believe this is part of the reasoning behind merging the pipes. All up, it helps develop power & torque.

Nodal and anti-nodal waveforms is correct, at the right resonance, they cancel each other out. Which is prob' why my single system sounds silent at 3,000rpm and drones like a cow at anything else. May have to include one of these into my new system, cheers for the info. |
