i have an ed V8 falcon. Havent driven it for 3 weeks but have been starting it once a week just check things, started it up this afternoon, it idled for about 10 seconds and shut off and did this about 5 times. i disconnected the battery and checked a few things and tried again. it ran for about a minute but the revs dropped every now an then and it shut off. I tried it about 2 hours later and it did the same thing. any ideas on my problem? any help would be great thanks. oh and it kept shutting off when it was reved to about 1500

Is there any fuel in the rails after it stalls?

havent gone that far yet. i changed the fuel filter about 6 weeks ago

Well it sounds like your pump is dying. So undo the schrader valve on the rail and see if any fuel squirts out after it stalls.

stupidquestion but were abouts is that valve on the fuel rail? i can hear the pump come on when i turn the ignition on so i no its working then.

Front left of the fuel rail as you look from the front of the car to the engine bay. It should have a black cap like a biclcye tire does on it, remove that and then test the valve.

just ran it again, it started and idled no problem but kept stalling when it got too 1300 revs, checked the valve and fuel spirted out.

Losing spark? Try changing the coil out?
