iv read in another thread about how a larger rim makes the initial accelerationd decrease, but increases top speed
i dident understand this because the larger the rim, the more the wheel should move ( hard to explain what im saying here) iv currently got el xr6s mags( voted worst rims ever made) il be upgrading, was thinking of getting some convo pros someting like 15inch, 255 and very high profile( big fats) or is it better to just got 18inch with low profile street car by the way

15's could help with traction depending on the tyre pressure you want to run. Low pressure could also cause them to fail if you go too low, and lower than recommended usually leads to quicker wear.
At the end of the day it depends on your driving style. You say it's for a street car, so i'd be thinking about some 17 or 18 inch rims with low profile rubber, will increase handling & steering feel a lot over stock 15's or anything with a high profile tyre. Cheers ToranaGuy

18's are the new 17's.
what ever you get, make sure you get some decent rubber on them. Your always gonna get what you pay for. 18's anything over about $190 a tyre is going to be good. Dave

dont forget falcons are big cars, so even 18's look small on them.
i can feel a difference in acceleration with the 19's on, its slower then with the 15' alloys.. the 19's grip about 4 times better though, and loves the smooth uphill cornering |

Just remember there are rules that vary from state to state in regards to how big of rims you can fit to your car, and i'd be looking them up before you purchase anything.
My Eb has 205/65/R15 std, i currently have 235/45/R17's on them, which are very close in overall rolling size to stock, just a little wider than stock. How much bigger than stock would 235/35/R19's be? Cheers ToranaGuy

There is rules about that as well. My EB has 7" rims stock, so i can go to either 8 or 8.5 within the rules, i can't remember exactly. Cheers ToranaGuy

If you want to do any track/drag days, then get a set of something smaller (cheaper to get race rubber).
