Hey fellas, ive tried searching which proved fruitless. I want to advance the timing on my EB series 2 falcon but i need it to be in diagnostics mode before i make the change or its gonna fight me every step of the way. Lots of people talk about diagnostics mode but no one seems to say how to get in there!

Cheers again guys

Two far left pins on the diagnostics port. You bridge them out, once the car is running, wait for a minute or 2 (Varies car to car) will act like it's going to stall, when this happens you generally have 2 minutes to time it, once timed tighten up the bolt. turn off the car and unbridge the pins. It has been covered on here quite a few times

oh has it? sorry i searched and couldnt find much. I just had a go at bridging it out and it revs to about 1500rpm for a few seconds then the revs go back down and dont move. is that what its supposed to do?

From that point you have 2 minuets to set the timing
