Remove Console,
Remove kick panels
Remove demister panel
Lower steering column to floor

Undo the 5 bolts holding the steering column/pedal box to the firewall.

Undo 2 bolts holding brackets under far left and right of dash where kick panels were.

Undo 2 bolts either side of the radio/centre section.

Undo the six bolts across the top edge of the dash.

Pull back and up gently. Undo loom plugs on right hand side until you can sit the right side of the dash on the driver seat.

Disconnect the brake pedal from the booster and wiring for brake light and remove any other wiring that might be attached to the pedal box.

Undo the 3 bolts from the top edge of the dash and pedal box.

Remove pedal box.

Install in reverse order.

Hmm, hopefully I have not forgotten anything as I did that off the top of my head.

Now, so I don't have to spend time typing this sort of thing up again, please go and buy a workshop manual of some sort. All this info is in there, with pics, and already typed.

Cheers
BenJ

The dash won't come out? Or the pedal box?

There are two long bolts from the dash that go through the top of the pedal box, where the column is attached. You might have to loosen the nuts off.

Are you sure you got the two bolts near the stereo on the tunnel, one each side?

You will need to lift the dash up and back.

It should be HARD, so don't force it.

The pedal box will stay behind when the dash is pulled back.

Cheers
BenJ

PS if you want to talk to me about it PM me for my mobile number.

Yeahp - Two bolts underneath where your stereo came out is the likely culprit here... Have a good hunt around in front of the shifter - there's a couple of tags welded to each side of the trans tunnel about underneath the most forward point of the stereo (which has been removed, so just have a looksee...)

On the first page of my build thread there is this graffic -
Image
which shows the location BenJ and I are trying to suggest in the picture second to bottom...

Try RIGHT CLICKING on the picture and zoom in or save or VIEW or whatever your browser offers you.

I think...?!?....
