isit a good idea for the thermo fan kit to just pull EL twin fans from an EL with the positive and negatives, buy a 30 amp relay and a thermostat or is it more safe to buy the kit???

The EL themo's suck a lot of current, I I run two 40AMP relays for each of my EL themo's .. I would not run a 30AMP for them both in the one relay . |

did I read theat wrong 2 relays on each fan. Ive run that setup on crane mangnent controllers that still blow 400a contactors (the next size up were worth more than 5 small ones ) . but the el thermo's ive just put inmy nc havn't popped the 40 amp fuse yet. am still setting up my system and am designing an electronic controler for them ( to fancy for my own good). but the time put into the 4 relays would IMHO be better spent using 2 relays with a 2sec delay for the second fan via a simple RC transistor circuit. IMHO refers to my humblness not my wishfull promisquity
