extractors and 2.5" sports exhaust :D will make a little improvement with performance n will give you a tougher sound!

before u put the head back on get it ported with bigger intake and exhaust valves and a bigger cam 8-) exhaust is always a good option too.

pretty much if you want more power the basic rules are improve the breathing of the engine (custom intake 3" or something and performance exhaust like headders and 2.5" system. bigger cam will allow more air and exhaust to flow though the engine with higher and longer lift of the valves. and bigger valves will allow the engine to breath too. turbo and superchargers help ALOT in this area too  )

pretty much after that its all to do with ignition, fuel, ECU...
hope this helps mate... 8-)

Wouldnt worry about bigger valves, price skyrockets from just a port/polish.
Cam, extractors, 2.5" mandrel bent catback exhaust, and while you have the head off may as well shave 20 or 30 thou off, and get the ports tidied up. Use an AU MLS headgasket when you put it back together.
I'd also suggest a J3 Chip with a tweaked XR tune from TI Performance.

Pod in a box was all the rage in 2008. From what i've seen with filter 'mods' is it's all pretty much just the placebo effect.

I'd suggest adding a BA XR6T intake snorkel, much larger than stock. Pod in the box makes sense if you're running a 3" intake as its hard to get the box to seal properly otherwise, but thats about it I'd say.
