If I were to install forced induction and used a turbo ECU flash would I still need an Engineers certificate to be legal?

What if the turbo is substituted with a supercharger but most of the intake intercooler is the same?

id say that you would need an engineers cert, that's just like saying you don't need an engineers cert if you turbo a NA fairlane. they made a few of them factory turbo, not many though. i seen a factory turbo fairlane shell for $1250 and it was a bare shell. all there was, was the shell, tags and front and rear windscreens.

A n/a BF motor would run very poorly (maybe even dangerously) on a BF turbo tune.
The bottom ends are different. (and yeah you'd need a cert, there'd be other things that need certifying too, brakes, structural, emissions etc.)
