I have a 1997 ford falcon gli seaden and it had the standard tape deck in there and my mates put a cd player in there and the battary went dead so i brought a new battary for it my brother put it in for me but now that battary is going dead and it wont start for me and there is no spark at all please help me :?

sounds like you need a mate with a car and some jumper leads, unless your an NRMA mmber, they can jump it for you.

Otherwise if the battery is still in its warranty period, take it back to the place of purchase, tell em its not holding charge and get it replaced. You will need the receipt though.

Issue would be the friend has installed the cd player incorrectly. Trace back the wiring and what he has done to it.

Maybe just abit short on knowledge and thinks an EL is a four cylinder car ?

maybe he shorted the battery out with the spanner when he was putting it in, that could be why the battery ain't charged. He might have fried it
