Hi all - need some help and advice...
I was checking the battery with a multimeter and had the aircon going to load up the charging system. I was checking the volts when the aircon clutched in and stalled the car. Well there was a whisp of smoke coming from the positive side of the battery and the car now will not fire. It will turn over no problems but does not fire. Where do I need to start checking? I noticed the copper plate with the wires on it was hanging on by a bees d**k but I need some urgent help. I have pulled all of the relays(4 grey 40 amp ones beside the battery) and replaced them with known good ones...still not firing. Where are these fusible links that everyone talks about? Are they the 2 big white wires plugging into the little silver block adjacent to the 4 relays? I need some guidance as this is my daily driver. Any help is appreciated and welcomed. The fusible links on my EB are little pink connectors with a clear top on them and one i know of is just under the header tank.

Cool - I will have to have a closer look in the morning as I cant see any with a clear top. I think mine are the older type so I am going to try and bridge the busted links until I can get to an auto sparkie
Thanks |
