ERRR! after changing my water pump over the weekend in my dumbness i bumped the little hose that goes into the top drivers side radiator,a dn guess what?! I broke it off the radiator, AND the bloody reservoir. Is it possible to solder it back together, and is it necessary to have those little hoses connected and block them off, or do they release pressure or something?

The hose is neccessary to ensure that all air escapes from the radiator to the header tank.
The tanks are plastic and get very brittle over time, as far as I know they are not able to be repaired.
Any radiator shop can replace the whole tank. I was quoted $110 for a radiator clean, 2 new tanks and seals, with a 3 month warranty. Not really worth it when a new radiator is $170 with 12 months.
